How religion shapes culture

Religion is the starting point for a culture. It is what tells the people what they have to do so that they will be classified as a good person or a faithful person. Culture is what is made out of the people being religious or not. Culture is the ethics of the people and what they do. So if you have a very religious group of people then your culture will be heavily based on religion.

So if you have a culture based heavily on religion the preists would have a good hand in telling the people what they have to do. The government would then be very strict about making sure all the biblical rules are followed exactly. Also the punishments would be found in the biblical text. Religon shapes culture by being the backbone for it and government.

European Colonization when it happened in Latin America the Spaniards forced them into a new religion and stole their gold and pretended to be gods. While in Anglo America it was British people coming and settling the land and getting rid of the Native Americans. Goods were shipped back to the Old World and other goods were sent back to the New World. Anglo America got there government type from Britian and it has stayed the same for over 200 years, while in Latin America the government has been changing all the time. Latin America and Anglo America have been both positively and negativly affected by European Colonization.

Latin American Music

The music of Latin America is one of my favorites. It has some really good beats in it which is something that I enjoy. The music has a lot of culture intertwined into it that really makes something fun to listen to. Music is one of the things that every culture has but some have it better than others. Some music is dry and has no feeling to it and others is upbeat and just keeps pushing you forward.

The reason I like their music the most is because it has such a wide variety in such a small area. The music moves you and also teaches you something at the same time. It teaches you about what the people have had to go though to get to where they are and what they are going though at the moment. It tells of times that are bad and of times that are good. Mostly it helps you see what their people have done and what they will continue to do.
